Originally named ‘Prism’, SOLI’s inaugural concert featured two of the ensemble’s longtime members clarinetist Stephanie Key and cellist David Mollenauer and included the group’s first commission, Michael Kapoula’s Tetrologos. The ensemble then changed their name to SOLII, before finally settling on SOLI in 1995.
